FONDA Testing Centre has started its operation at the June 2006 under the title of “Singapore Bangladesh Service”(SBS). It works on providing Testing to unskilled people. The center got approval of BCA (Building Construction Authority) under the Ministry of Manpower, Govt. of Singapore. It is set up to impart technological and vocational training and testing in order to convert unskilled and Semi-skilled workers to skilled workers by way of providing all sorts of technical training so that they can qualify the selection test conducted by Construction Industry Technical Institute (CITI). Registered with the Board of Investment (BOI), this Overseas Training Center (OTC) was established to match the quality of Bangladeshi skilled workers with the international standards. The center was established with the vision to improve the unemployment issues of the country. More importantly, the biggest advantage of FONDA is availing the opportunity of fostering cooperation in building skilled manpower for Singapore. Keeping in view the large number of unemployed population in Bangladesh visa the demand for workers in different countries, FONDA began its journey.
FONDA welcomes interested unemployed persons who are equally eager to play constructive role in mitigating their sufferings as well as in taking basic trainings in order to shape up their own lives. During the testing period, a trainee test both practical skills and theoretical knowledge according to the standards of BCA, Singapore. A trainee is registered for the test once the training period is over successfully. Upon passing the test, the trainee is allowed to go abroad as a skilled worker.
